Dan Snyder, a Manheim Historical Society volunteer and an archaeologist at Elizabeth Furnace in Brickerville, will tell us about how the Hessian Prisoners of War were used to dig a ditch to increase the flow of water to Elizabeth Furnace where it was needed to produce iron.

All our facilities will be open for free tours from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. Also, free rides on the Trolley, weather permitting.

Please note the Freight Room will not be available for tours during the presentation.
